AACI Division

(Agricultural, Aeronautical, Chemical, Industrial)

The AACI Division of the JIE is the focal point for discussions, knowledge sharing, and activities related to the combined disciplines of Agricultural, Aeronautical, Chemical and Industrial engineering. All engineers within these disciplines are assigned to this division upon election as a member of the JIE.

The Division is managed by a committee led by a Chairperson and supported by a Past Chair, a Divisional Honorary Secretary/Treasurer, and an Ordinary Member. The Division Chair is a member of the Council and is expected to report on divisional activities on a monthly basis.

Key activities of the division:

​

  • Facilitate the promotion and facilitation of workshops, seminars and field trips of interest to the disciplines. 

  • Liaise with industry players and members of the agricultural, aeronautical, chemical or industrial engineering fraternities

  • Recruit from general JIE membership and AACI engineering fraternity membership to support the business of the division.

  • Respond to and facilitate JIE Council position on Mechanical Engineering matters of national concern.

  • Acts as Liaison between the JIE and close contact with GOJ and other Mechanical Engineering entities in the local industry

  • Collects and disseminates information (articles, workshop proceedings, etc.) to General JIE membership of current international & local AACI Engineering trends.
